How many hours can most LX-5 users expect to get from new batteries fully charged? I always use way more juice than guys I fish with using different brands.

    I should add that is a 9amp battery not a 7amp.

I can’t see a scenario where you would even come close to running out of a charge in a day of fishing. I usually have no issues getting two long, full days on a 9AMP battery with a full charge.

My unit is 4 years old with the original battery. I have never ran out of juice after an all dayer. I have even forgot to plug mine in after an outing and was skeptical on long it would last. Even though the battery meter read 10% it never missed a beat. Even when out fishing check the meter every once in awhile to see what it reads then turn it off and read it. They are usual pretty far apart. Hopefully this helps, Dan

I have the same performance on mine as the other guys I’ve mentioned. I will say however, that I NEVER, and I mean, never, leave for a fishing trip without an extra or two. They’re cheap, and you never know when a battery can fail you. I always disconnect my leads after fishing, well, two years ago, they somehow ended up touching when bouncing around in the Otter and the DCS drained my battery over a week or two.

Battery issues are the #1 customer service question/issue/complaint from Marcum, and all mfr’s use similar brands, so I’m sure Vex and Hbird field the same calls too.

2 days without an issue, I also unplug the battery when in storage.
