Found open water in the middle of Lake Andrew today while driving the ATV to my house. 20 plus feet of water, 15 inch hole or so with bubbles coming up. kind of scary to see in the middle of nowhere. Be careful out there!

Steve, Horseshoe Lake has what’s well known as “the meth” hole. Same thing, always open water there with bubbles coming up.

Great catfishing area…but to the person that happens on it, well it kinda wakes them up!

    Oh THAT kind of meth.

Springs and methANE being released will keep ice thin here and there on certain lakes. Remember a few years back the big open water area on the lake north of Brainerd.
