I decided that I am going to have a replica made of this PB gill. Does anyone have a replica of a gill? Anyone have suggestions on who to use? I would imagine I would be aroung the 200 dollar mark for a replica, right?

Replicas are the greatest fishing invention ever! Yes, even better than the Flying Lure.

x2 on Timjo, you can find pics of his work on another site and its some of the best painting I have seen. If its big enough he might even do it for free to get a mold of it.

That was done by Timjo as well. I have seen a few of his mounts first hand and have not seen anything better.

Good luck on the replica, but what a fish!!! I know how fat your hands are, and that’s a piggie gill.

What was the length on that? Guessing a little over 12. I’m very interested in who you go with for the replica and how it turns out. The couple I had looked at in person were very cheesy and plastic looking. Detail work stunk, so I held off. I have a 13.5 from back in ’95 and a 11.75 of my daughter’s to get done.

Wish I had better pictures. When i got home that night, I was out of film. Used the 8mm video camera and transfer it to digital and took a screen shot.
