Lx 7 not reading bottom

Trying out my new lx 7 right now on the local lake and my digital read out for my depth is saying 12t feet and I am only in 5 ft if that. I have solid line at 5 ft and then lines again at 12. Almost like a double echo. This is a soft bottom lake too. Anybody else experience this yet too.

Its on 6the any lower and it reads nothing. If I set the transducer on the ice it reads the right depth but as soon as I put it in the hole it
oes to 12tft 10ft. 9ft. Got 2 keepers eyes so far though.

Try setting the depth range manually to the 20′ scale.

Well I guess a call to Marcum is in for tomorrow to see what I can do. It is the digital read out that gives me a false depth saying I am in 12ft but really only in 5. The echo I was seeing around 12 ft was tail end from the echo. It showed bottom being at 5 ft a darker thicker line. Not real sure what the problem could be. We did managed to still catch fish though. 8 keepers for 3 guys. All in all though I am still impressed with my new toy.

Did you try to reboot it? That worked for me.

do you mean just turning it off and then back on?? or is there a way to actually do like a soft reboot?

Just rebooted, heading down to the lake quick to see what it does. hopefully this fixes it.

Just got back from the lake. Seems like the reboot worked. Same depth is being displayed digitally as what the flasher and vertical is showing for a bottom.

Suggestion…someone withe the proper authority put his instructions in a post labeled LX-7 reboot procedure and post it pinned.
