The LX7 is Here!!

    So I was prepping some prime rib for the smoker tomorrow when the doorbell rang. My wife answered the door to find a box with my name on it!!

    I swiftly finished up the meat and got into the living room to crack it open. I had a pretty good idea what it was. Well after getting through the tape and removing some bubble wrap I saw the shiny box of Marcum’s NEW LX7!!!!!!

    Man was I itching as I carefully opened all the protective pieces. And there it was in a killer red case. It was better than seeing Santa!!

    I opened up the velcro and removed the protection from the screen, what a beaut!!

    Course, I had to connect the battery and fire it up. Luckily it came to me charged up.

    The family looked at me odd when I exclaimed, “Bask in the glow girls, bask in the glow!!!”

    Course I haven’t had a chance to use it yet but it is a great looking machine. If anyone wants to get out and check out this bad boy, let me know. I’d be happy to go fishing with you and let you check it out.

    The LX-7 was sent from Heaven! It’s got a halo!!

    Congrats! Anyone know how to make ice in the bathtub?

    I was fortunate enough to pick one up tonight. I can’t wait to get on the ice tomorrow morning. So much for getting any sleep tonight

    I was fortunate enough to have my wife tell me the UPS man dropped something off for me as well. Can’t wait to get this thing out on the ice and learn all the ins and outs of what the LX-7 has to offer!

    does it only have flasher mode or does it have a graph mode as well?

    Actually, all three. Flasher, vertical “showdown” mode, and graph.

    You are one lucky guy. I guess I should have been nicer all year so Santa would have brought me one.

    The more I see about the LX7 the little guy on my left shoulder says “you got to have one of those” and the little guy on my right shoulder says “why do you need to spend that $ on another locator”? And, like Congress, they just can’t seem to come to an agreement.

    All the OOS and ARRS are nice but at the end of the day will you have more fish on the ice!! It probaly doesn,t matter as most will still have a smile.

    Will it put more fish on the ice? I don’t know if there will be more than there were with my LX5. Will I be able to read more areas and have the options of different views? Yes. Could that make a difference? I believe so yes.

    I have no idea what to expect… but this weekend on lake X, i will put my new LX-7 to the test !!!
