    First off…
Jesse you did one hellofa job hosting this year’s “unofficial” GTG
Even with the weather conditions you were an excellent host and all your work was appreciated
Maybe next year we could do a pool 8 or 7 trip? (hint, hint local guys )
It was great to met some new (and entertaining ) new member’s…. all a bunch of fine folks… plus I got a new tip-down! (thanks Charlie ! )
It was great to talk to James again..plus watching the 3.1 updated LX7 in action was very cool…It’s always a pleasure sir….
    Brian even showed up!!!

    And last,but certainly,not least…
I finally got to meet Pug.. ,
I even got 2 fist bumps ….I’m living LARGE !!

We gotta do some kitty fishing dude..

I am a sucker for a sardine can story.

I forgot you offered a spot in your 2 man. I should have taken advantage and at least tried fishing for a half hour.

That updated LX-7 sure did look nice, it was a big difference from the earlier version.

Thanks to Jesse for putting this together. I wish I could have stuck around a bit longer, but the little kid has been sleep depriving us for the last few weeks and it wasn’t fair to mom to leave her all alone with him all day.

Unfortunately, I was under the impression that we were supposed to fish, so I may have seen a bit anti-social sitting out in the boonies near Cal instead on leaning on Jesse’s truck making sure it didn’t blow away like everyone else.

Yeah. I found that out right before I left.

That would explain why James spent more time drilling holes with a hand auger than he did fishing.

This was my 4th in a row and it seems that way sometimes
But the conversation is part of the fun …
Thanks again for drill’in the holes…

    Any time.

All I know is that at noon someone yelled “Bar’s open!” which confused me, since we were in Wisconsin, it never really closed.

There’s a reason we were sitting out there.

    Wait, what?

Well, we got there a bit late (almost 4) and I made the mistake of assuming I would be able to see where people were from the landing. After unsucessfully trying to sort through 10+ pages of posts on my tiny phone screen to find the exact coords we rolled the dice and headed north because it looked like there was a larger group there which I assumed to be the IDO gathering. We chose poorly, so I met no one.

Still had fun and drank beer on a new to me river with some new friends, but wish I would have planned better.

As requested, the Smallmouth Bass caught on the St. Croix. Not bad for a tip-down fish.
