If I would have seen this earlier I could have brought all my stuff back from minong and fished with you guys or at least brought back the wheeler and trailer and hauled guys and gear! I live 3 miles away, the wife has a party going on during the day and I have to get the heck outta here!!Almost tempted to drive up there and get everything! Jesse let me see what I can do, but maybe I could just come down with a weber and cook brats?

Gman you are forgiven and can join in all the icefishing fun.

I’ll have all the gear you need with me, room in the 2 man, extra Tip Downs, jig pole, bait, a little beverages if you like some homemade CranRasberry Vodka and Serria Mist in a Red Solo Cup!!

I should be there around 7:00 to 7:30 just look for the Red Eskimo Escape 200 with Tip Downs setup!!

The way it’s sounding, there’s going to be a number of Pro Staff attending. It’s going to be good to see you guys in person again.

    Nobody will be around Saturday

I think that means that I will be back in the saddle, and in charge again!!

Awfull nice of you Ice. Just don’t know what your avatar pic and some vodkas would bring about . I actually have my marcum and some rods and an old shack but no auger or heater. I’ll see how everything shakes out but would really like to make it and meet some guys. since we got our place up on the minong flowage I don’t fish the river as much as I used to. All I know is it’s a long walk wherever you want to go !

If you do the Satelite view on the map it appears to end right at the landing.

So I guy could pop on the MN side and drive across? Not sure it would be that much faster anyway.

Yeah, I myself would be a little skeptical about driving ALL the way across

IF you are heading to the GTG please use caution on the ice. Also be aware of where yo are at. There are 3 known area’s for thin ice and or open water.

#1 The Lake Mallieleu dam/dishcharge area
#2 The Train Bridge area North to the green daymarker or better
#3 The power plant warm water discharge.

Also I forgot big garbage bags if someone could please grab some that’d be great

Wow great turn out. Thanks to all who braved the elements and tough bite and showed up. Top honors goes to ecnook and his future son-in-law who caught an array of walleye, crappie, gills, channel cats and sheepshead. Seconds goes to the HUGE SMALLMOUTH that was caught on the tip downs. There was also a bunch of small perch, crappie, whaite bass and an 18″ pike caught. Definitly a great time with a great group of people.

Special thanks to the person that brang the garbage bags

Post pictures if you got any

Sure wish I would have got a picture of James hand drilling that hole today, I was literally 5 seconds late with the camera

Good to see all you guys again! Josh, take a little time and teach Ecnook how to cat fish. You have some time so you don’t have to teach him all a once.

Mudshark, thanks for making the drive to the St Croix River Valley.

LeAnn, thanks for bringing your sister to the Village inn, it was good to meet her.

    Timmy, I hope you’re feeling better. <karma>

    Onestout, Jesse wants his money.

Jeff, don’t ever come again without your wife.

Stacey, What? no good bye hug?

Blue, what? No good by hug?

James, as always good seeing you again. I know if you would have had a line down you would have caught a channel cat too, there is next time.

…and Mr. Jesse Krook. Dude it takes a lot of time and commitment to put a g2g together. Great job and ….

    Thank YOU!

Yeah, I know I missed some folks, but it’s 11:30 and the popcorn is doing me in.

Sounds a great time was had by all. Wish I could have made it but was busy plowing fridays snow. To any who are driving back south we have freezing mist here now with freezing rain predicted later. Please drive with care.

Good thing James is a big guy, that hand auger gave him a battle!! Great to meet everyone, it was fun catching that Smallie on the Tip Down, I was hoping is was a giant Crappie or an Eye.

Jesse just don’t drop any French Fries on your way home it could be a little slippery today!!

That was the best ice fishing trip where I never put a line in the water. I didn’t want to embarrass everyone else by catching fish.

I hope the after party went well. I wish I could have stuck around longer.

It was definitely nice seeing everyone in person.

Thanks for putting it on Jesse and thanks for the samples.
