The way it’s sounding, there’s going to be a number of Pro Staff attending. It’s going to be good to see you guys in person again.

Lupe and I are going to bring our grill and some brats, will also have a 2 burner stove there to saute some onions and peppers, also some sourkruat (spl). The apple pie is made and awaiting consumption. If anyone else would like to use the grill or stove they are more than welcome to!!!

I can’t make it again. You always pick the day I have to take the kid back to Madison. Ahh well at least it will be one less person to pick on BK.

Make that two people Sarge—-don’t think I am going to make it either. Was hoping the boy would be back but sounds like it is going to be a little longer. We are getting close though

Red you can come without Jr. It’s ok if you don’t catch any fish. We won’t think any less of you. (that had to hurt)

THE OFFICIAL GPS COORDINATES FOR THE GTG LOCATION ARE

    N44*59.906′

    W92*45.952′

This is the first point South of the Ferry Landing on the WI side of the river. No more than a 5 minute walk from the Ferry Landing.

So would a Minnesotan be able to park on the ice at the landing? I know how those Sconnie troopers are with MN plates, especially after a packer loss.

Oh wait, I am confused, go figure. You had to access points on a previous post. Access on the MN side and access on the Sconnie side. But you are saying we all meet on the Sconnie side?

    Nice!

When are most people going? I was planning on going at 7am when it started, but if it is going to be an all day event, there is no sense rushing out there early. I don’t plan on being there for 12 hours! And I would like to be there either for the sun up or sun down bite. Plus, BK I think is coming later in the day.

Unfortunately we are going to cancel out, with the forecast of 6 to 10 inches of snow for us, and we’d be driving into the heart of it, and my truck has started to act up we’re staying home. I hope those that do go catch lots of fish and enjoy the great people that will be there.

If my brother doesn’t come (he’s 50/50 right now), I’ll have an extra seat in my portable if anyone needs to warm up.

    Jeff,

I will have your Tip Down with me, I will also have room in my 2 man if it’s needed, but I plan on being outside as much as possible.

Are we looking at driving on after this cold snap or is it an easy walk to were we are going to fish? I do not like driving on and my snowmobile is in the shop right now. It might be done by Saturday but not sure if the parts came in yet.

Looks to be about a 1/4 mile or slightly better walk from the landing to the fishing area. A nice point dropping off into a 35 ft hole. I think you picked a good spot to setup with a few humps in the area.

I’ll be giving a nature seminar on Timber Wolves and Squirrels. After that I will have an open discussion on the pitfalls of stocking, please, no speaking out of turn. Lastly it is Wild Hockey talk. Admission is free, but I ask you to bring a liquid canned good.

ps. If there is time, we will be burning your packer gear by the fire barrel.
