Long story short, my year old 625sd began freakin out on me on the ice this morning. After I talked myself off the ledge, I calmly called Marcum in New Hope and explained the problem. The gentelman told me to bring it in today and we will give it a once over. 15 minutes of waiting in the lobby and my camera was good as new with a brand new camera and cord. No questions asked, no funny looks, just unbelievable customer service. I can’t say enough good things right now, my next 2 days off WILL be on the ice and not pouting like a 5 year old. Thanks a ton Marcum, customer for life!

I’m a little disappointed. There wasn’t a guy with a dark goatee singing Christmas carols in the background while you waited this year??
Glad your back on the ice Brian.
December 19, 2011 at 7:42 pm #1019238Well I kind of wish I COULD be on the ice to see if anything is broken or not. At least your lucky enough to be out fishing. As for Marcums customer service the same thing kind of happened to me last year the first time out. My LX-5 just flashed a little red and died… I wasn’t very happy but after sending it in they fixed whatever was wrong with it for free so it was a happy ending. It’s not like other places where you have to fight and scrape just to talk with someone that knows anything and can help you with your problem.
December 19, 2011 at 7:44 pm #1019239Have to agree also, their Customer Service is SUPER! My transducer arm brkoe on my new Ice Troller and I e mailed them and the next day had a replacement arm ( with apology)in the mail the next day.Doesn’t get any better than that. Great products and Great Service too!!!!!!!!!!
December 19, 2011 at 10:02 pm #1019273I too can testify as to how great Marcum’s customer service is.
I bought an 825VS underwater camera from some catfisher-guy here on the website (real goof, can’t remember his name ) – anyway… it worked great for a year or so and then for some reason it just displayed a blue screen with ‘AV1’ in the upper corner.
Filled out the form on Marcum’s site, being honest about not being the original owner and having no receipt etc. I was told to send it in, so I did – 3 days later, I’ve got the unit back. They replaced the camera head/cord and cleaned the whole thing up – no cost. It works great!
WooHoo!

I might have to try that. Despite the warnings on IDO I broke mine the first time out trying to position my 5.6.December 20, 2011 at 12:32 pm #1019493Quote:

Marcum is the best! I had the same thing on my LX-5 and they fixed it with no questions asked.
Also, you have to leave your house to get on the ice… Ha ha.

I’m thinking that was directed toward you Pug.
December 20, 2011 at 1:17 pm #1019508New arm in the mail already. This is my self imposed last chance though. I need to remember to grab the base, the base!

December 21, 2011 at 12:37 am #1019746And if they don’t stand behind their products, but rather in front, it makes you wonder what they are hiding.
