Having some troubles with my Lazer Pro and am looking for some suggestions.

I bought my Lazer Pro end of last season used it for a couple trips out and it ran like a champ. Last weekend I through some fresh fuel in it and headed to the lake. It starts up fine but will not run at an idle. If I feather the throtle it will run wide open but if I hold the throtle wide open it starts to bog down. When I let off the throtle it will run for a second at idle and then quit. I have run 2 tanks through it with seafoam and have the third tank in it now with just mixed gas.

Wondering what to do next. It bogs down at full throtle and dosen’t run at idle. Seems like the carb needs to be taken apart and cleaned. Is this something that is covered under the 1 year warantee?

Let me know your ideas. thanks…

You can try tighten the screws around the carb. Sounds like it is sucken air in. Just a thought.

I know its a long way from Le Seaur, but if need be, stop by the Strike Master Shop just southeast of Big Lake on Highway 10. They’ll get you taken care of pretty quickly from what I’ve seen when I’ve stopped in there. Their customer service is top notch.

Best friend owns a small engine shop, and it always seems to come down to the carb, and Fuel. Something about todays fuel with the diaphrams. Dries them out.

Sometimes cheaper to just buy a new carb. I was at Farm & Fleet the other day to get order a gasket kit for my lawnmower. Had to take the carb off and screwed up one of the gaskets. He said that people bring them in to have the carb worked on and it isn’t worth it, carb is only $22 for a honda motor.

Might be cheaper to just buy a new carb, call Strikemaster.

1oz mixed gas, 1oz jb carb cleaner, start and run at full throttle. any carb cleaner will work, but the guy at strikemaster recommended jb brand. this will clean out the varnish that has built up over the off season. if that don’t work, it might need a carb kit.

I would check the carb but also check the air intake hide that’s in the gas tank make sure there’s no gas in it and it can get air to vent it. Just a thought.
