Amery WI – Ice Report

    I took a loop around a couple of the area lakes checking ice thickness and most lakes have 4 inches of good clear blue ice with some milky ice on top of that on a couple of the lakes. I checked Big Blake, Little Blake, Big Round, and East Balsam. Some folks have already ventured out 300+ yards on them. I didn’t see any fisherman so I don’t know if the fish are biting, but if they were I would have expected a few more folks out. I think this weekend it will crank up for the rest of hte winter around here. Good luck out there and be safe.

    Heading back up Thursday night and should be able to post Friday morning. I heard Goose had only 2 inches of ice on it which is a surprise. The fish were not biting as well.
