Holst and the Marcum LX7…..

Just talked to James about filming a second ago. He was on the ice with the LX-7 honestly sounding “giddy”. Like a little kid who finally received that Red Rider BB gun. I qoute…….. “Granrud……This thing is just unbelievable man….Unbelievable”. As if I wasn’t excited enough….Thanks for that HOLST.

I finished day one of a 2 day event for a local retailer in representation of both Marcum Tech and Otter Outdoors. The store owner peered over at me after I finished one of my live radio feed sessions, and said “Granrud where are our LX7’S!?”. I said “Honestly Jim I think I’d trade 1/2 of my ice fishing equipment to drop the puck on mine now!!”. He asked his counter rep to GET THE MARCUM TELEPHONE NUMBER!!. Not knowing precisely what was going to happen I was a bit nervous. Peering over at me I hear “Hey Jon this is….We have a pre-order for those Marcum LX-7’s and we need to ADD to our order!!”. I guess some things are worth the wait.

Trust me the one thing I DO KNOW is you can’t go wrong with the Marcum LX-5. THAT I have lugged around over 1000 miles last year alone. FOR ME…….I need to use something. When I use it I can gain further clarity for what it can do for me and my guide service. OH….I might let you try it Glenn!! You might need to pry it away from me though.

And the walleyes are biting. Grant and I landed 9 in an hour or so. All but one in the 19 – 23 inch range. The fish were shallow at 8′. Pics to come later tonight!

And yes, the 7 kicks tail.

Have you guys posted an “eval” of the new LX-7 on the site? Maybe I missed it, if so…please direct me there.
    Thank you

Max power consumption on the 7 is 800 Milliamps. Max consumption on the 5 is 750 milliamps. So the battery life is very similar.
