Just wondering what everyone wears under their Ice Fishing Suits be it Sno Suit,Ice Armor,Arctic Armor or whatever. Do you just wear a pair of jeans, long johns, under armour ?? I know these clothes are extremely warm so what can you guys get away with.

I’m not one that easily gets cold so keep that in mind with what I wear.

Long johns and jeans under my bibs always for the bottom half.

I layer the top with a long john shirt, T shirt and then a hoody. If it is windy or extremely cold I throw a heavy cotton GM Guide Series pullover on top of the T-shirt then the hoody.

When layering, I also like my clothes loose fitting so there is no binding under the arms or across the back. Tight spots will only cause chill spots.

Birthday Suit! Sorry couldn’t help it. I think there may be some chafing issues.

Me too. I like sweatpants and long johns under bibs. If it’s really cold I’ll go with fleece instead of sweats.

Jeans, long sleeve T shirt, fleece hoody, Light fall jacket that is some what windproof and has a little fleece to it. This is with my Sno Suit bibs, mild winds and typically above 20 degrees. Add some wind and my uninsulated guide ware jacket comes out. Add wind and lower temps the sno suit jacket comes out and the fall jacket and rain gear goes away.

When talking with Chris from Frabill he said wear only what you need for yourselve and make sure it is loose fitting. Like it was said above to tight and you will get cold quicker.

I try to stay away from anything that has cotton. Typically I wear just fleece bottoms and top. A wool/poly blend top for the cold days. Cap and gloves.

Wearing the Snosuit its jeans on bottom, and a Long sleeve Tshirt followed by a hoodie. I also wear a neck gaitor (blocks wind, without having to wear a T-neck) then snosuit jacket on days below zero.

I’m so skinny I make a malnurished cadaver look over weight so I get cold very easily.I like to start with silk long johns and then light wool long johns wool socks and a thinsulate cap.I will use the therma care back pain heaters on very cold days and plenty on hand warmers.
Chunky people seem to get by with a lot less clothing because of the natural insulation.

Under armor top and bottoms, then a mock Tee and hoody on top and sweats or warmup pants on the bottom.
Over that insulated guidewear bibs and either my uninsulated guidewear jacket or on cold days my snowmobile jacket or waterfowl parka.

I wear long johns and a pair of blue jeans for my bottoms and a long john top with a long sleeve shirt with a hoodie over top to keep my top half warm. Finish it off with my bibs and jacket and I am good to go for the day.

My base layer is Carol Davis Web Foots Body Sock, I love this stuff very warm. http://www.davissportswear.com/sunshop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=3

Next layer is Sweat pants and a turtle neck with a good pair of thick wool socks.

I then wear my Arctic Armour Bibs and a thick Hoodie. If it gets really cold I will wear my Arctic Armour Jacket and my Under Armour ColdGear Hood.

If anyone want a great deal on an Arctic Amor double layer jacket here you go. It’s camo but it’s warm and it floats.
