    Yo guys! Got out on lunch break yesterday to check out the ice on a local lake, as I’d seen a guy on my way to work fishing on a bucket…Got out there to find less than 2″ of clear ice, and a ton of trash and cigarette butts all over You can see one melted in on the ice by his hole I was using… Anyway-in 15 minutes I c&r’ed two crappies between 10-11″. I was fishing 12fow above some leftover laid down vegetation. Fish were suspended 4′ off the bottom, and they were on the move-so they didn’t stick around long. Got them both on a glow/green RatFink with a small white Impulse plastic. Tight lines,stay safe out there!

    Dont have to say where you were, but Im heading to Carls on Monday, think ill be able to stay on top?

    You should be fine on Carls, but be careful- I personally haven’t even drove by there. The lake I was fishing is spring fed and deep so it takes FOREVER to freeze, you can’t fish anything but the bays right now, and they have less than 3″
