Anybody know if this can be done, or it there’s equipment available for it? Would love to have it ice-fishing…and no, don’t intend to lug around a 12-volt battery, thanks!
    Anybody tried this?

    Thanks, Rev

They make an Ice Pack for use with their smaller units. I bought one a couple of years ago for my LMS-522 and it seems to work just fine.

I got a kit for my lowrance hds 5. It ran around $100. Came with a case, vexilar battery, a power cable, mount/base, and ice transducer. I know reeds and Thorne bros sells them or they are online.

Mounted my HDS7 on a Genz blue box. Added the power cord and ducer that you can get from Reeds Sporting goods in Walker MN or from LEI extras.

I also used a Genz box, had the battery, scored a cheap ram ball and a buddy had a spare power cord, only using it for GPS and set up for well under $50
