I haven’t heard of any issues. Try watching the youtube option for the most recent episodes and let me know if that doesn’t work for you.

Here’s the Perch episode from last week.

Something strange is happening and not sure if it is my end yet or not. I can only get about 6:30 of the youtube before it quits. I will do some more investigation.

    Thanks

Up to this date the above video would start and then stop with in one second. When I push to start it will run from one second five seconds. I clicked on it with your post and it continued to run normal.

    Good info.

Now try this one for me. They’re different videos coming from different servers. The first one was off youtube. This next one, encoded at a higher bit rate, is coming off IDO servers and MIGHT not be friendly to guys connecting to the internet through DSL. Those accessing the internet through a cable connection, the the higher download capabilities cable offers, shouldn’t be an issue. If you’re on dialup… all bets are off. Let me know if this second one plays for you or not.

Interesting, I have tried Internet Explorer and Firefox both using the YouTube and the normal video feeds and they all stop. I can see the scroll bar advancing and the download behind it until it reaches around 14 – 16 minutes and then the download bar jumps to the end and all video freezes. This started yesterday late morning or early afternoon. I will continue to see if I can get it to work. You just gotta love computers. Thanks for you help and info.

Did this just start happening? Have you had issues playing videos before? You up to date with the Flash player? Using a wireless network?

Fiber system. As stated, this just started yesterday late morning. I have watched all of these videos a number of times and now this. I am still checking things. However, I believe it has nothing to do with IDO servers now because I have the same issue with other long YouTube videos as well. I think the computers are taking over but man shall prevail, I hope.

I had similar experience about 2 weeks ago, tried almost everything. Finally got the cable company technician into my house, he spent almost one hour, couldn’t figure out the problem. He even tried three new cable modems, what he forgot to do was to use the power supply(AC Adapter) that came with those new modems. Eventually, he tried that, and everything worked perfectly. So my problem was the unstable power supply to the modem. Not sure if the modem or its power supply could be the cause of your problem.

I work in IT and can’t believe I didn’t think of that. One thing that can really help as well, especially if you live in an area where power surges/inconsistencies are frequent a ups used with your modem and router can make a world of difference. Helps regulate power and keep it consistent and not just protect your pc in the case of power surges/pages.
