Very happy to see the forcast for the next 10 days and it is looking nice and ICE cold. Wont be long now and I’ll be on my first ice adventure. Who’s ready?

I do remember saying that. What can I say, I get bored easily.
Pool 4 for me is my first fishing “home” but I tend to fish there less and less. I’m averaging 1 – 2 times a year the last 3 years. I am however having the time of my life exploring new fisheries and taking the time to add new techniques to my bag of tricks.

The real inside scoop would be that I ice fished like mad before I became a river guy. I remember just about wearing out an Old Clearwater Classic flasher back in my twenties before I got the river bug.
I wonder what ever came of that Clearwater?? Sold it to some “old” guy here on the site some years back.

James, I still have a mint condition Clearwater Classic, if you are interested in purchasing back some of your nostalgia. I’m sure I will keep my LX5 though.

I still go by the standard, if its warm out(for winter) I’m goin to the river, if its going to be 10 degrees and windy I’m goin ice fishin. Hasn’t let me down yet. My buddies do get a little annoyed when I tell them we’re goin fishin tomorrow and they ask where and I say don’t know for sure yet, we’ll see.
