Wondering what the differences are between the SnoSuit & the IceSuit. Really haven’t been able to figure it out off of their site. They don’t tell anything about the weight of the insulation on the SnoSuit. Their site says the IceSuit will become the standard in ice fishing, but the SnoSuit says it has unmatched warmth.

Well, what’s the difference? Is SnoSuit worth the extra dough?

The Frabill Ice suit raises the bar in that price range. Frankly no other suit on the market will compete with the Frabill Ice Suit at that price point. Still for the everyday hardcore Ice angler the Snosuit delivers superior warmth.

I’ve see alot of confusion about the Frabill Ice Suits. I was and maybe am still confused as well.

From what I can tell (from web sites only).

Frabill suit (grey) is not insulated.

Frabill ice suit (black) is insulated.

Frabill FXE Snosuit is the most insulated.

Frabills product naming and descriptions do not help the consumer much and could be better. Their site is nice and flashy, but hard for the consumer to really compare which one is good, better, and best in terms of insulating factor. Just my opinion.

I think what’s causing the confusion among myself and others is that the title of the page on Reeds site says.

Frabill ICESUIT Jacket & Bibs – Grey

This is incorrect. It is not an ICESUIT. It’s simply a suit and seems to be uninsulated.

The black suits are the ICESUIT and are listed as being insulated.

Broman is right about the 3 suits. I bought my dad the Icesuit last year and he really likes it. Its plenty warm that’s for sure. I wear the blue ice armour which is non insulated and I never get cold. Just have to layer a little better.

For the money like Chris said the icesuit is tough to beat. Up here in Grand Rapids at Glen’s Army Navy they have the icesuit on sale for $149!

How warm are the black bibs? Can you go walking with jeans underneath and not overheat? 30 degrees?

Good information guys. I want to upgrade in warmth from my Arctic Armor. I haven’t really been cold in the AA. On regular days, it’s very good for me. But I’m really only on the ice about 12-15 days per year. And they’re all out on Whitefish Bay searching for lakers without a shelter. And it always seems to be below zero when we go on our trips. I wish the calendar had some indicator on what the temps will be when you plan a trip\ Anywho, I think I’ll end up with a SnoSuit for those cold days.

With just jeans I think you should be fine. Over heating for me most the time comes from too much warmth on top.
