Leftover Gulp Juice Question?

With the hardwater season coming up,I was wondering if the leftover juice in the gulp containers would make a good dip scent for some hardwater jigs or lures like a jigging Rap.
Some tip them with minnow heads and some don’t. With the belief the minnow head impedes the lures action. Wouldn’t this be a way of adding scent without the minnow head.
Or soaking your plastics adding scent.
Other than discarding the container and juice it could be used as a scent dip. Does anyone do this?

I don’t see what it can hurt. I soak my CJ&S plastics in the jars of the 1” gulp alive minnows. It sure has not hurt the performance at all.

I like to mix mine with Grey Goose vodka, throw in some tomato juice and a beef stick and have a seat on the ice. Fish jump right out of the hole!

Works great, been doing that for years. The stuff last for
ever.Works really well on small hair jigs and plastic. Make sure you keep the lid on tight and upright.

Something tells me that he has no problem keeping to himself while drinking that.

I’ve mentioned this before but it deserves to be said again.

If you cut and “X” in the gasket when you first open the bottle of gulp instead of tearing the gasket off, it won’t leak. Use a needle nose pliers or forceps to reach down in between the slits of the “X” and grab the grubs, minnows or whatever you have.

I’ve never had a jar leak since I’ve been doing this and they tip over all the time in my boat and tackle box.

I like this to dress my baits with when the fish are finicky. I know it works on perch, catfish, and eyes.

PS Joel turned me on to this and we just happened to post at exactly the same time on the same post. Fair warning don’t ice fish with Joel, the fish scatter to the far corners of the lake whenever he approaches.

It would be nice if they sold them in a decent container….one that did not leak.

Thanks for the X tip. I never have leftover juice. I do have some interesting smelling stuff though.

An even better way is to get some pipe thread tape and put it around the threading of the jar. You can tip it upside down, roll it down a hill, use it as a maraca, etc. It won’t leak.

I’ve been meaning to do both tips mentioned above (X slit & pipe thread) just as a security measure against leaks. Sure couldn’t hurt anyway. Having a jar leak once in your tackle box is enough for anyone to never want it to happen again.

Thanks for the reminder on the pipe thread tip lhprop1!

In strict confidence I told you this

Now everyone is going to be doing it and the cost is going to sky rocket
