Anyone know if the Lx-7 uses the same transducer as the Lx-5?

My best guess is based on the total new design it would be different, like the LX-3 and LX-5 are different even though the basic design is the same…A even better question is when do they arrive on the shelves of our local stores so we can poke and prod?

When I was at Thorne Brothers for the Mod weekend I was told by a rep that the LX-5 and LX-7 could use the same open water transducers………So I am going to assume, I know this is dangerous, that they can use the same ice ducer.

The 5 and 7 use the same transducer.

I was told by Marcum that the LX-7 will not be available now until early November. It appears that they have some work getting these in and documented yet.

I’ve been bugging MarCum relentlessly to hurry it up! No dice.

But in all fairness MarCum’s been stating a Nov 1 availability for a long time. To be honest the only stated delivery timeline estimate I’ve ever heard was from October 15 – November 1. Would I like them earlier? Absolutely. But they do seem to be right on schedule… or darn close.

Just for clarification, you can use the LX-5 transducer on the LX-3. You just will not have the dual beam capability.
I have tested a couple LX-3’s using my LX-5 Transducer.

I was at Cabelas in Rogers on Monday and they told me that the LX-7 wouldn’t be there until November 12th.

Correct that is when the Rogers store will receive their shipment. Was in that store on Monday night, they have a very nice supply of ice fishing stuff already on display.
