Interesting little gadget. Gonna have to talk to Tommy to see if he played with one on the river yet.

Ask him if they are planning to make a little bigger screened version of that. A 5″ or 6″ screen would be sweet!

That or the ability to plug in a camera to my iphone via an app… that works too!

That looks like a pretty neat camera. WAY better than the last aqua view post I remember reading about (the claw). This one looks like a winner. Way to go guys

Wow, Tommy has a steady hand.

Looks like a great idea, but that sure looks like a semi-simulated display @ 2:35 (not live).

I tried to look up a price and couldn’t find one. Any one seen a price or guessing what it would be?

First post references $300. I wouldn’t know either way if that is accurate or not.

That’s what I was thinking when I saw the cable shaking about but the video picture holding still… but didn’t get a close enough look at it.

Anyone hear/see how long the cable was?

I have to hand it to these guys, they are “trying” to get some market share back. Not sure that’s going to happen with simulated videos though.

He said it was a 50 ft. cable. I can see other uses for it, like backing up to hook up your boat or other trailers. Just hang the camera with a piece of tape on the tailgate and have the screen in the cab.

Do a little search for backup cams and 3.5 inch displays on the big auction site, look for no reserve or buy it not, got my whole set up for both suvs for under 20 combined……

I can understand the portability and scouting advantages to this camera, but I can’t see it being used for fishing as a normal aqua vu. Fish wraps around your cable and down the micro goes! If a cell phone can fall down a hole, well, so can the micro.

I think this unit would be awesome for scouting in the summer & hole hopping for panfish in the winter. I saw it does come with a wrist lanyand so it should be secure. I take my cell phone out all the time & still have it.

I had the Marcum 560 b&w camera a number of years ago. It had the leds around the camera lens. I could control the two types of leds on the camera and it was pretty much useless in the summer month because of the particle reflection in the summer water depending on the clarity of the water in the lake. The other piece to this is days are short in the winter months. If this camera doesn’t have the off set lights like the Marcum “Dark Water Technology”, camera’s are pretty much useless at night.

It’s going to be interesting to see how useful this pocket camera really turns out to be in real life conditions.

PS take note in the video, the camera is pointing down when it’s dropped into the hole, however the picture on the monitor is of a horizontal view.

As my Momma always said…”Cheaters never prosper”.

They posted another video as well, flushing it down the toilet.
