I have not been on the ice myself, but I saw fishermen at Camp 22 and Fisherman’s road in LAX. They are just two of the standard early ice spots.

Drove through LAX on Friday, guys were fishing at several places around town. Went into LAX from LaCrescent and saw guys around the camp ground and could also see guys fishing areas along I-90 as I went back into MN. I have no information on the ice conditions in the LAX area

Guys are fishing several of the Prairie Island areas in Winona but the ice is still less than 4″ from what I have seen and heard. There was a layer of water and slush on top of the ice Thursday that seems to have frozen now but I would guess there are still a lot of iffy spots out there. Lots of springs in Bartlett and I have not been over that way yet.

Is anybody fishing Yeomans pond or are they going to the second landing above the dam?

Anyone know how thick the ice on East and West Lake of Winona is? I might head out there tomorrow morning before classes with my pick since I’m auger-less right now.
