After dunking a snowmobile in my younger years I’m not a fan of early ice. I’ll do it but I won’t be the first anymore. Thankfully there are other guys who will toast

We got your back. I had the same experience but on my old 400ex. Learned a lot that day

    Thank you toast

EPG, if you put your minnows in your mouth, you keep them from freezing, and leave that heavy Engel cooler on shore! waytogo

Roosevelt is not a lake to mess with early ice, even the upper portion.

    Yeah,
Rossie is still wide open. I was on a smaller lake in the area

We fished 3 lakes. Lots of open water. Couldn’t quite get to targeted areas. 2 of them were a solid 4 or better and 1 was 3 and getting thinner as we poked. So we abandoned that lake fast. Seen 3 wheeler out one of the lakes, must be locals because theat was the only spot we seen with 5 to 6 inches.
To say the bite was tough for us would be a understatement

There is a guy plowing snow off of Tilson Bay here on Rainy with his UTV. Cleaning off a area for the kids to skate.
