Looking to get a rod holder that attaches to the pole or into the base of my otter cottage. I’ve seen a few different ones in pictures and videos but I can’t seem to find what the general term is for the products so my searches aren’t coming up with much. What do people find works well as a rod holder for a dead stick rod? I like the pole mount ones because it would save space over using one of these that work by sitting on the ground or on a bucket.

First pic is made by catch cover. Great for when you are in the shack. No bobber needed with bait feeder. More adjustable.
Second is otter product for if I leave the shack for some reason or am using a bobber which is not often.

Um swap the pics with the descriptions. 🤦‍♂️

I have a blue plastic one that attaches to a pole or 5 gallon bucket.

Couple of things about the one Ripjiggen shared that attaches to the poles (second pic). 1st, the clips that hold the rod break easy. I have broken 3 of them during transporting. 2nd, your rod will move with just a little wind. Not a big deal if you are using a bobber. Sometimes this has helped by giving the jig just a little action. Other times it has made that rod holder unusable. I found this one at the ice show. You can push them up to the side of your portable so they are out of the way or move them as you please. Wind doesn’t affect them. They fit into a bucket. Sorry I could not find a link or better picture. They worked well last year at Lake of the Woods. The nice thing is they pivot with you rod. I have even used them as close proximity tip ups with bait feeder reels.
