    I am interested in making my own custom rods. Can anyone recommend a starter kit to get me going?

    I’ve dealt with a company called Mud Hole. They sell all kinds of rod making components, including ice fishing rods. I built a few and They are really nice.

    There’s a couple Facebook groups for ice rod building. Lots of info there and questions on supplies. Super addicting, if you get started, you will suddenly wake up one morning with 20 rods and still have blanks you want to build on.

    Yep, What Don said I am up to 15 now. I use Basskhang and Vline both quality companies with great customer service. Check them both out on Facebook and message them and they will set you up. For an all around blank start with the Basskhang Perch Carbon or Vline Uncommon carbon both great blanks and easy for first build. Let me know if you have any questions I will try to help you out.
