Looking to upgrade my ice rod bag this year. Debating between the fish innovations case and striker ice. Mostly walking out with my 1 man sled then driving the truck when the ice is thick enough. No sled/wheeler in my arsenal (yet). Open to other options as well. GO!!!

I purchased this one last year as I couldn’t justify the price of the Striker bag.
Overall happy with it for the money. Has a somewhat of a “frame” to it so it’s rather supportive. The velcro straps to “tie down” the rods could be better, but I usually toss two on each side opposing each other and don’t have any issues.
    Mostly importantly…good zippers!

I will say, if you’re looking for crush-proof, throw it around, don’t care what lands on it kinda case…this isn’t the one for you.

@Jamin yeah i am having trouble justifying the price tag myself. I do have the one you mentioned, but still find that they get tangled up a bit with how many i take along and still have to break down my spinning reels to get em in there. Yeah im a picky lil s.o.b.

Ha, nothing wrong with being particular. Like I said, it was good enough for me for the ~$30 I paid for it middle of last season.

I’d seen a Striker for sale somewhere recently for around $75-80. Let me dig through my browser history and see if I can find that.

Check out what Thorn Bros has, I was there last night and they had 3 or 4 hard sided rod cases.

I have one for sale on here. It is the deluxe bag that is more heavy duty than the Cabelas posted above.

Ah that’s the one I bought, the Tundra! Looked the same when I quickly pulled it from the Cabelas site this morning.

I have the Otter Box that attaches to my Monster box which is really nice but I just purchased a Tickle Stick 42” to try this year so I can stand up while hole hopping. My problem is finding a case long enough to hold it. I see St Croix makes a rod case that’s supposed to take rods up to 44” but I have never seen it in person.

The Tundra is a great bag!
