ICE OUT

Anyone know how the ice is coming out on the lake? Any anticipated dates for ice out yet?

Going to be a week or two yet. My folks are on a smaller lake about 15 miles west of Leech and they still have a ways to go. Hoping this weekend we can get the little jon boat in their lake for some crappie fishing but it will be close. Josh at Trappers posted a video 3 days ago from Leech, still a long ways to go.

It looks to me like Mille Lacs will go out this week so I would guess Leech will be a week or two behind.

The north end of gull started opening up a good amount this weekend. I heard there were guys ice fishing leech a week ago…

Thanks for the updates, would love to hear more as the days pass. Hoping for warm weather and the ice to be out well before opener!

Josh Bullivant is a great follow on social media if you are interested in Leech. He posted some videos yesterday and thought it should be open in about a week. My mom just texted a pic, the cabin lake should be out today or tomorrow, so we are getting there! Alway kind of crazy how much longer winter is up nort.
