Trying to find an ice line for shallow perch (7-20 feet). Spooling on a Shimano Sienna 500, TUCR Quick tip. I have just tried P-Line Floroclear and it has a ton of line twist.

Any suggestions, favorites or what the guys are using on the show would be great.

    Thanks

I use suffix ice magic 3lb on the tip downs. Works great and no major twist issue because I use the spool of line as the spool on the rod- just attach with small lag screw.

Try the P-Line floroice. Much easier to work with and not nearly as “brittle” in the cold as the floroclear.

I like Vicious Ice or Berkley Vanish in 2-4#

Northland Bionic is cheap and works okay, but if you want a better line try Sufix or Powerpro.

When not fishing braid, I also like the Vicious, Berkley Vanish (mostly leaders) and golden Stren. I usually use 2lb for panfish.

I was looking at the Bionic florosilk have heard decent reviews but not sure if it will solve my problems. I might go to a low pound braid with leader. I just spooled my trout rod with the power pro ice looks decent.
Should i keep on trying florocarbons or switch to braid?

Floro will have more memory than a regular mono.
