no no no!! not to derail the thread, but I missed out on an entire summer!!!!
stupid insurance companies!!! four months of remodeling not counting one month of arguing with them!!!
at least we were blessed with a gorgeous fall and early november, sigh.
It sure is starting to make some ice. I just hope the weather stays cool enough to keep it going. Usually I would be fishing on top of the water by next weekend. Looks like a guy will have to wait another week or two..
Certain small ponds/lakes around the metro with good tree cover are fully locked and might have 2″ by the weekend if the rain/snow holds. Bring on the early pannies!
on pelican in breezy piont mn there was about an inch od ice in the small bays not the big parts yet, and this was on saturday. just yesturday someone i now was fishing one one of them. soon enough well be out there.
Finally looks like we have some ice in the forecast! I’m guessing Red will be open to walking and atv traffic by December 15th. @Drifter I imagine he was bringing it in for a tune up, I couldn’t imagine he was trailering all the way to ice/north pole!?!!
I normally live in northern Minnesota. However I’m attending college in montana. Today there is 6 inches or so on hyalite resevoir, caught about 20 trout today, my fever has subsided. Ice fishing is here
I live in central north to south and east to west Michigan. Had 1 week of teens and single digit weather for a week now. All lakes besides deep lakes of 100+ water depth and great lakes are froze. 2-4″ of ice. I will be out Monday on foot with spud bar checking ice. Did just get 16″ of snow. Dang! And if it’s good a little 1st ice walleye fishin. Did see 2 guys on Saginaw river would not advise. Coast guard said 2-3″ of ice on a big river spells disaster.
