Just wondering if anyone is headed out to Sioux Falls Friday or Saturday for the ice show? Trying to see what kind of show specials they are going to have before I would make the 3hr trip on Sunday. Mainly interested in the eskimo 2600 flipover, but if its only 10% off its not worth my time and gas to go out there.

I have no idea what the special will be. Last year, I bought a float suit from eskimo, paid retail, but got a free hoodie and a couple other things I have not used yet. I plan to be there, and will be in the market for a new shack or 2. I have 2 boys ages 15 and 12… a big 3 man flip, and a bigger one man, or possibly just going to buy a couple thermal 2 mans. I have a old clam with out the thermal. After having thermal hub shack, I hated fishing out of my old clam, but love the portability of it. I move more and catch more fish when I dont have to tear down and reset the hub. I hoping for deals to be had. But not expecting anything to extreme.

I will be there at 3pm Friday. Last year we really enjoyed the show. Last year there was a lot of 10-25% off deals plus a lot of throw in extras. I saved 20% on an Eskimo shack with free cover. Saved 25% on 8 inch lite flite. Got a free hat and towel. I’m not expecting deals to be quite as good this year. I’ll try and share what I see after Friday.

That would be awesome of you Dash, thinking about calling around and seeing if stores will give show prices, since there is really only 1 show this year.

You think there might be a sale on Vexilars?

I bought a couple a Pro Cottage, a Pro Cabin, Pistol Bit, and getting a set of Predator bibs. I got 20% off. You can message Todd on Dakota Angler Facebook page and he will get back to you. I am going back in after work today.

Heard from one guy there were very few deals to be had. I am wondering if companies and stores don’t think they need to run specials as this is the only big show and guys are going spend either way. I would be interested to hear what others saw.

Your best deals will be the last day of the show. They either sell the stuff or load it and haul it home. Don’t be afraid to make a offer, you never know.

Justin check with Reeds for show specials.

With most of the ice shows now cancelled across the ice belt IDO will be working with Reeds to bring their low sports show pricing to the masses starting with the release of our first episode Nov 22. I can’t let the cat out of the bag yet but the basic plan is to offer sports show style discounts on all major product categories (electronics, augers, ice houses, lithium batteries, rods, reels) that will provide substantial savings.

If you’re not finding the deals you expect you might want to keep your powder dry. Reeds plans to be very aggressive. waytogo

Good to know, thanks James. I’ll hold out longer. Haven’t ran the purchase idea thru the Warden yet, but if I give her the amount saved versus the total amount I should be safe.
