Ice helix in shallow water weedy areas

Anyone have advice on using the ice helix unit in shallow water weeds? I tried a fishy spot that was 6- 10 ft but had weeds sometimes half way up the water column, this made it hard to see my lure on sonar. Can I fine tune settings to help this or should I be just jigging above the weeds anyway? Fishing for walleye mostly but wouldn’t bat my eye at perch either.

I haven’t found a great solution for graphing in weeds, but I will say I prefer the sonar view over the flasher. It seems to show movement in the weeds better and can help you distinguish fish from all the other noise.

Weeds like that is where cameras shine.

You’re going to encounter that with every flasher on the market. Just the way it is. The weeds create a sonar return just like your jig and it doesn’t separate the two if they are at the same depth.

Sure cameras are great in weeds, until your water is stained. Then you can’t even see the weeds.
