What battery are people using with your Helix units on the ice? Seems like the Helix is a battery hog. Seems like I’m getting low battery life every time I use it. That is with me turning the brightness way down.
Any suggestions would be great. How long does battery last in use?
My Cousin just picked one up at Cabelas and they recommended the Dakota.
Let me say that looks like one hellava sweet a$$ unit! 
This year I mounted mine on a marcom shuttle. Fish 5 hours yesterday and it’s down to 82% battery life left. Last year my battery would be almost dead. So far I like the set-up.

Got the amped 12ah for christmas but haven’t had it out yet.
I have been using a Norsk 15ah battery the last few years. You definitely wont kill it in a day. I always charge every night so I couldn’t tell you exactly how long it would last.
