Looking at new bibs and am considering the Ice Force ones. Any opinions? How do they compare to the Strikemaster bibs? I see James still wears the strikemasters on a lot of the episodes. Also, I’m 5’11” and 230 with a 36″ waist…looks like a Large by the sizing chart, does that sound right from those wearing them? And

    Thanks,

    Joe

I have a pair of the strikmaster bibs, and they are warm enough, but they don’t breathe at all and I will sweat in them unless I am just sitting and doing nothing. I also have ice armor stuff and they are much better, but more than 2x the cost of the strike master stuff. I think I got the pants and jacket for $130 both. hey were so cheap I figured I would buy them for an extra set just in case I needed them. I would guess the ice force stuff would be similar, but I could be wrong. I have a pair of the ice force gloves and they are pretty good and cheap too. Way better than a pair of striker ice gloves I bought last year. They are junk.

The Strikemaster bibs are a decent product at an entry level price point. If you’re looking for a high quality suit that breathes well, offers more warmth and last a long time I’d look at the Ice Force product or one of the Frabill suits.

I’ll be replacing my strikemaster bibs here shortly as I recently ripped one of the pocket flaps clean off when my hemostat I had clipped to the pocket flap got caught on the snowmobile as I jumped down off the trailer. A seamstress couldn’t have done a cleaner job of removing that flap.

Ice Force is discontinuing the Strikemaster bibs and jacket so I’ll be doing a search for a replacement after the holidays as well.

Probably good they are discontinuing the bibs, because if I bought that, along with my IDO hoodie I live in I’d look like I was trying too hard.

All jokes aside, if you can find the Strikemasters in your size, $100 on sale right now at Rapala.com is tough to beat
