My wife and I will be traveling from Maryland to her family’s cabin near Bruno, MN over Christmas. Being from Maine, I’ve done plenty of ice fishing over the years, but have never fished for walleye. Anyone know what the best walleye lakes are in the Bruno/Moose Lake region?
I would say to go to the St. Louis river by duluth or the harbor. Mille lacs lake to. This would be the best for any good walleye fishing.
There is oak lake up by kerrick, just north of Bruno. It did make Ron schera’s deadly dozen one time a long time ago. There used to be a resort/campground on there that did provide access. I don’t know if it is still open.
