My kids have FXR suits. They are made for snowmobileing but are waterproof and have a floatation system if they were fall in. The bibs also have removable extensions on the bottom of the legs so they will fit them a little longer as they grow.

Kids grow to fast to invest in anything top notch IMO.

They also tend to move around alot more than us adults so to over dress probably is worse bc they’ll sweat more, thus get cold faster.

I always make sure to have the 949i or the EVO setup nice and toasty nearby to warm up in between the flags, hockey, football, and other fun things we’re doing on the ice.

Generic carhartt style bibs and warm coat. Or at that age get dual purpose hunting outfit

Kids definitely grow way too fast. Didn’t want to buy the best higher priced gear for that reason but I want him to be warm and safe. Thanks for the input and help.

USED! That way you can get top notch at cheap prices.

Got a Columbia bibs and coat for FREEEEEEE.

Picked up Baffin boots for my 3yo for $20 on eBay.

Go make friends with other parents with kids 1-2 years older.

fieldsupply.com still has frabill coats and bibs for 60-80 bucks each in smaller sizes if you are looking for good stuff at a lower price.

Thanks, I will check out fieldsupply.com. I will also check on ebay and craigslist for used items. I didn’t think about those.
