My family is going on Saturday. Not looking for any deals or needing anything. We just like to go and it’s a great way to get my boy exited about getting out. I do always end up finding something to buy.

I have never been but I have heard of the zoo. I will be on the ice near your house Rick. I’ll wave if I see you out.

I’m probably going Saturday, need to get my shuttle, pole and battery for my livescope. Might pull the trigger on a mounting set up for the boat to if the deal is right. Also want to check out the new ultimate rattle reels with the louder rattle and larger spool. Most likely spend way to much money.

Heading out on Friday after work. Hunting the rest of the weekend. Always go on Friday way less of a crowd and a good way to start the weekend. I do have a few things to pickup this year.

GF got a striker suit for 200$, I got a new pair of climate bibs for 40% off. Did buy a few packs of Beavertail baits, we’ll see if they catch fisherman or fish

Her coat was a Prism and bibs were youth Predator, both at Reeds. My bibs were Marine general. Most places had 30% off suits

Any deals on Heat Hog heaters?

I bought a heat hogg 18000 but for 99 dollars brand new free shipping on eBay. The seller had 12 more. I ordered it a couple weeks ago and it showed up in 2 days. Cheaper then any ice show price. Worth a shot to look.

Didn’t you try those heaters last year and said they were crap?

I bought one last year and sold it after I didn’t like the ignition. But found this deal for 99 bucks and didn’t have a replacement so I bought it for half cost again lol. I still don’t like the battery ignition and hope there isn’t a day my battery is dead on the ice and I’m freezing. I did tape 2 spare batteries under the lid. I tried bypassing it and lighting with a lighter but it doesn’t work. For 99 bucks it’s half as crappy. Other wise the heater is nice. The triple a battery is so dumb and the way it goes in is so easy to strip. But for the right price I’ll use anything, I even bought a clam shelter this year, and we all know how much I don’t like them. Half price gets me every time

He does hook me up with lots of stuff. And some of it I’m pretty impressed with. The rods he gave me last year were pretty decent. But that’s not knowing what the price per rod was. He just handed me 12 rods and said enjoy. He called me a little bit ago and told me to come over he has some goodies. I’m guessing after he and the wife worked the show all weekend he will probably have some cool free bees. I haven’t been disappointed in any clam gear I’ve gotten for free. Actually haven’t had any of the clam stuff break either.

I watched a video for the Oshkosh show this weekend saying parking at the St Paul show was $20-30 and beers were $12. Was this true?

Sounds about right, I think my beer was $10 but I drink urine water beer.
