Can anyone give me a price on what they paid for a new portable shelter (model and brand) as well as what they paid for any other high end piece of equipment like a flasher or auger at the Ice Fishing Convention. I’m looking to buy a new Otter Pro XT1200 Cabin and would like to know if it’s worth the wait for a good deal. Thank you all very much in advance.

I’m not sure how to post a link but there is a post regarding show deals that people got. Just enter it and search.
It’s toward the top in the Gen Discussion forum

That is a smokin deal on an XT1200! The reality is most people get ad hoc deals at shows. Mr Bradley Hawthorne of Upper Red and Ice Force fame got me a non camera PanCam for $216. They wheel and deal for sure

Same deal on the Eskimo 949i from Fleet Farm. I got mine last year. They must run that sale every year. Highly recommend this if your looking for a pop up style shelter.

I live in SE WI and the ice season so far has kept me off the ice. But since buying it in October I’ve camped in it twice, once during fall deer season, and it performed excellent in every respect. There is no way of justifying the cost for me were it only used for ice fishing. This thing is a great camper, and with the rear ramp door doubles as a toy hauler for either my motorcycle, ATV, or garden tractor. I’ve used it to move my nephew, and haul materials for a project at home. As far as a fish house the lift mechanism is simple and robust, the tounge both hinges and removes with no tools, the unit trailers beautifully, and seems well built with no leaks…yet. I’m hoping to get it out on castle rock lake this weekend and see if the fish will jump up through the holes.
