My buddy, Tom Boley, and I went out on a western Wisconsin lake earlier today to film a short segment for some trophy caliber panfish. We were rewarded to say the least as we caught bluegills that varied in size between 8.5 and 9.75″ as well as a handful of nice crappies. We found these fish roaming the basin in 23-26 feet of water, which was adjacent to a shallow weed flat. Custom Jigs and Spins Chekai Tungsten jigs tipped with plastics and euro larve seemed to be the ticket for landing these trophy caliber fish.
