Another great show guy’s i like how PJ wasn’t afraid to rub it in a little to James. Keep up the good work.

We love a little friendly banter out on the ice. devil Thank you for the kind words and for watching!

    James/PJ,
How did you find this obscure bite? There’s endless water out there so it seems like some local intel would be necessary, but I think it’s even too far for Marcus to have a bead on. Just wondering as there doesn’t seem to be a lot news coming out of that area, especially for crappies.

We heard rumors of this bite 2 – 3 years ago from a friend that had never fished it… that had heard a rumor of this bite from another friend prior to sharing it with us. So, second hand info two-people removed shared with us during a day of fishing on a different body of water hundreds of miles away. Prior to shooting the show we didn’t know anyone that had fished it themselves. The final bit of legwork was PJ was in the area the week prior with friends on a hunting trip… he had basic ice gear along… a quick check of the lake… BINGO. Big pies in shallow water!

That’s cool! Thanks for the response.

Great show-like how you mix up locations and species. HB tech is impressive, too spendy for me at this point. Will wait for it to get smaller and cheaper. Staying on the move is a good point too on this vid, no matter what your tech situation staying mobile usually pays off.

James, I think the Livescope and 360 images I’ve seen over the last year are awesome, but I don’t think I could ever haul around all that gear. Do you picture this set up as something you will bring to bodies of water that you are fishing for the first time (trying to figure out/learn) or something you see yourself bringing on most fishing trips (on or off camera)?

I don’t find the system cumbersome at all but keep in mind I typically travel with about 250 lb of gear most of which is video equipment. doah

In all seriousness, I don’t find it that cumbersome or inconvenient at all. And since the fish movements will change everyday it wouldn’t make sense to me to leave it behind just because I’ve fished a body of water before.

But I do recognize that this additional piece of equipment won’t be a great fit for all anglers. Just like on open water some guys don’t want anything more complicated than a pull start 10-horse and a 14-ft v-bottom boat. Different strokes… different folks.

14, Tech ALWAYS gets smaller and cheaper-remember the first cell phone? TVs and stereos used to be very expensive.

Absolutely. We can count on everything getting smaller and more efficient.

I’ve been wanting to get it for my boat for the last year or so. Then maybe I’d have to try it on the ice. I’m just glad companies are making units and features you can use in both seasons now.
