ice fishing end

    I am new to ice fishing and wanted to make sure i can still go out and fish for panfish even when the other game fish are out of season. and if you guys have any tips and tricks for catching the bigger panfish.

    Yes, panfish does not close (in MN).

    As the ice gets closer to the end fish shallower weeds if you can find them, water coming into a lake could be a hotspot, just be careful. Walk softly late ice fish can quite spooky. DK.

    Panfish are also open year round in WI. What catmando said about late ice…
    Don’t know where you’re from, but be careful with the warm weather forecast. We have ice thickness here in N. WI, but it’s layered and porous. When this warm hits, it’s gonna hurt the ice fast.

    I usually fish hard early ice and late ice. But I finally bought a boat a couple weeks ago so I agree! Bring on the open water
