I am looking at buying an ice fishing camera.

Anyone have any tips on which one works best.

I want to keep it under $300 if possible.

    Are they worth it?

I love using mine…I’ve owned several and you definitely get what you pay for, the reason the Marcum’s are expensive is because they are the best, especially in low light conditions where other cameras are worthless. The bigger the screen size, the better…

The onscreen depth & camera direction feature of the premium marcum’s is worth paying the premium price for… imo

Save up an extra 50-75 dollars and get a marcum. I bought a vexilar fish scout and returned it for the marcum vs485c. Its an amazing camera

Well I made my choice. Marcum VS825SD.

Its more than double what I wanted to spend but the reviews say that the cheaper Aqua-Vu models are hard to see in the daylight. What good is that? I need to be able to move around and drill holes and look for fish before I pick a spot. The tripod camera pan thing looks useful. Bigger and brighter screen is the key from what I’ve heard. I hope it lasts along time cuz it aint cheap.

So.. any thoughts? Am I making the right choice?

I’ve owned the 625 & 825, save up the extra $$ and go with the 825, it’s worth it.
