Well one of the things I did was a remote hike in Montana. As always I had a fishing rod with which happened to be a fly rod for this particular place we were going. We hiked for about 3 and a half to 4 hours and finally made it! After a 4 hour truck ride down dirt roads, And a 4 hour hike we were there. There was a small lake formed from glacier runoff. The water was FREEZING COLD. It was about 75 degrees out and I was ready to catch some fish. My target species was trout. Rainbow preferably! So up from the lake was a stream where I could see the trout running in, fished for 2 hours or so and ended up having a great time! Caught lots of trout and even cleaned some up and packed them for the hike back for dinner that night. One of the best day trips ever. Fished a place where no one had ever been before. Amazing scenery and great fishing! Lots of work but was well worth it! And the fish were delicious later that night back at camp!
