countless other threads on this topic but for what its worth I got a pair of Baffin titans this year and I couldn’t be happier. they are a little bulky but they are very light and super warm. I wear a size 10.5 Wide and ordered a size 12. Fit is perfect.

I’d recommend Baffin as well. I’ve had mine for about 10 years and love them. I’d recommend the Apex. They will be narrower above the ankle to get under your bibs.

Yeah getting the titans to fit under the bibs can be a challenge

I just bought a pair of Baffin Eigers and they seem to be nice. I haven’t really tested them yet but did a lot of research before buying. I am normally a 10.5 or 11 and also ordered a 12 and they fit well.

Yeah I went with the Eigers because they had the same liner as the apex but were lighter from what I read. I am happy with them so far but haven’t really tested them on the ice yet. I plan to just wear a merino wool blend ultimax sock from cabelas in them.

If the link to Gander Mountain is what your looking at for boots which the Woody that you have listed, look at the comfort range…
    40-95 degrees.
Not warm enough in my opinion.
I bought the Muck Arctic Sports any they aren’t even warm enough for me.
Lots of guys have suggested going with the Arctic Pro instead.
I haven’t tried those yet however.
    Just sayin whistling

Thanks for pointing that out bull cans. I appreciate all the feedback. I’ll take a look at the Eggers. Thanks for the sock recommendation biggill. Those liners are key too.

I switch from the Muck Arctic Sports to the Arctic Pro. They a warmed which I needed. That being said I was good in the Sports as long as it wasn’t below zero. I have no shack and sit on a buck by the way. I also recommend Smartwool type sock with the liner also. I do this and Muck suggests it also. I have a size twelve foot and were a twelve boot also with the heavy socks. They run a bit big for this purpose. Great customer service if something goes wrong too.

I have lacrosse aeroheads that work really well for me. I believe they are the 1600 gram. They are also nice for hunting!!

Bunny boots best pair of boots for ice fishing I’ve found. If your feet sweat or your boots get wet all you need to do is wipe the boot out and a fresh pair of socks.

I’ve had Baffin apex for 5 years now. Really like them, also wear them when hunting during late season archery.

I have the Muck Arctic Pros. It was usually my feet that got cold first but not anymore. My feet are in the 10-10.5″ range for most shoes and boots and ordered my first pair from Amazon and sent them back because they were too small. You’d definitely need to go up in size from what you normally wear. Get moisture wicking socks, they don’t need to be thick, but my usually after a day on the coldest ice my feet get slightly damp with sweat in those toasty boots.

I got a pair of Muck Arctic Pros in December and have been very happy with them. I generally am a hole hopping fisherman and only set up my portable once I’m too cold or on a good bite, and so far this year I have yet to have to set up my portable due to cold feet. In years past, I’ve always struggled quite a bit with cold feet.

lacrosse burly 1600’s have been great for me on the ice. I have another set I use all bowhunting season. Feet stay warm in – weather fishing and no issue with cutting holes and getting wet boots.

Just recently bought a pair of baffin evolutions because it was a good deal on Amazon. Warm and comfortable but not fully waterproof. Spent a whole day on Mille lacs last Friday during the warm up and by the end of the night my toes were soaked. Not sure how the apex would hold up in same conditions but I was hole hopping fishing tullibee. Luckily I brought a second pair of socks and boots for the drive home. Maybe will consider the titans next time.

    over shoes
I absolutely love these! There very warm light weight, easy to put on and take off. Dont flop around and stays snug to your calf and to the shoes your wearing. No zippers all velcro traps and quick connect buckles. The tungson carbide studs are awsome on the ice

I picked up a pair of the Baffin Eigers this summer during a sweet sale on Amazon. Went 1.5 sizes bigger than my shoe and it was a perfect fit after a little time breaking them in. I’ve been wearing them all ice season, nearly every weekend and I couldn’t be happier with them. They’re not as bulky and my Striker bibs fit perfectly over them. From all indications, they seem to be water proof so far. I’ve done a lot of hole hopping and have fished outside in ALL conditions so far this winter. They’ve been phenomenal.
