Looking for waterproof bibs. Move around a lot while on the ice and if I’m not hole hopping I’ll be in the shack so I don’t need real heavy ones. Any suggestions?

maybe just get some warm weather waders? they are waterproof and lightweight. if you are not needing something too warm i might try that.

Some sort of gortex bibs, pick your brand and amount of insulation, but I suggest built in knee pads.

I’ve used striker bibs the last 2 seasons and really like them, nice and warm and waterproof

Frabill’s new line of I-series are very nice. I own the I-2, the lightest of the bunch. Layering under them for ice fishing and I’m always wearing them in late/early season open water too. Had them out in a down poor last spring and stayed very dry. Very well constructed from what I can tell after one full season of use. I also own a pair of striker predators bibs, and they are also very nice. I wear those on the real nasty days on the ice and deer hunting.

I to have been using the striker hardwater bibs and like them alot. The jacket on the other hand is way too warm when setting up the flip over. It good for just sitting in the open.

Another vote for the Striker. Been using the Hardwater bibs. They are warm, but if you leave them unzipped, they’re fine for hole hopping.

Yep, go with any Striker Ice bib (I’d recommend either Predator or Hardwater) and never look back. This is a great time to get a good deal on them too, with so many cyber deals going around now that Gander & Dick’s Sporting Goods (others probably too) carry their full-line.
