Ice depth near Bemidji, MN

    Does anyone have ice depths for Lake Bemidji or surrounding area? I’m hearing lots of slush, but hoping ice is thick enough for a snowmobile. Thanks!

    I would suspect most small to medium sized lakes have plenty for a sled. Lakes like Bemidji, Cass, Plantagenet, etc. froze really unevenly. I would use extra caution especially on those bodies of water.

    Dang, I had hoped conditions were improving with all the cold weather over the past two weeks. Was out in the south east end of Bemidji 2 weeks ago and had about 8-9 inches.

    Not as far north but Smaller lakes around Aitkin are hurting bad. I don’t anyone has touched (on a snowmobile) the lake we are on.

    Talked to my cousin from near Bemidji a couple days ago and the slush is still bad even on small lakes.
