Ice Conditions by Alexandria (Osakis)

    Looking at heading up for some ice fishing to Lake Osakis in late Jan or early Feb. Anyone got any details on ice depth?

    Ice today was running right about 9 inches in the area of Battle Point over to Schultz’s Bay. Probable the same or more in Manthey’s Bay. Maybe a little less on the bigger south part of the lake. Lots of atv’s out along with some of the smaller wheel houses. If you scroll farther down in the forums you will find one called “Minnesota Lake and Rivers”. Under that you will find one for lake Osakis.

    Thanks Tim! I really appreciate the update. Looking like I will head up third week in Jan. I will send an update after that.

    Any word on the Crappies?

    Fishing has been slow for me. Just been getting perch. Was sitting on 28 FOW yesterday and from about 4:50 to about 5:15 pm I had crappies coming through at 16 to 20 feet. At least I am guessing they were crappies. Didn’t get a one to bite.
