Ice conditions around Winona

Anyone been fishing around Winona, just wondering if anythings biting with the sudden cold and how thick the ice is in some of the back channels.

6-7 inches in backwaters but prairie island was sketchy last Saturday with most spots being good but went from 6 to one inch in a one spot spud went through on one hit , heard the water was rising from discharge i don’t know how that would affect the ice . Hopeing to get back to black bird slough very soon , haven’t found a hot bite yet

Fished Minnesota City Harbor last Friday and limited gills and perch. Going up there tomorrow and will update

Do u have to be a member to fish that harbor?

Hammering pig perch in Trempealeau bay

Just throwing an update out there, was out saturday/sunday and the crappies/gills and some perch were biting again but had to keep moving around to find them (seemed like we’d get a couple out of each hole before having to move on to the next one). Good luck out there
