    Hi All –

Thanks for reading my post, I have a quick question. I’m headed up to Mille Lacs last weekend in Feb. (22-24) for some over night fishing. I’m renting from Lybacks and will be using their roads. Question is though, my truck is a 3/4 Mega Cab with a Cummins. I think I’ve seen 9 cars through the ice so far this year?

Whats a the general consensus on a truck that large on the ice?

    Thanks for your input.

You’ll be just fine as long as you stay on the roads and follow directions from the resort. Chances of problems increase dramatically when you baja off of the resort roads.

    Thanks Francis,

That’s the plan but I’ve never driven a truck that size on the ice, wanted to check in.

I would ask Lybacks on what they think. They take great care of their roads and just make sure you dont speed on the roads.

I talked to Cindy, they’ve been fantastic. Hopefully the Walleyes are as helpful ;)

    Second opinion never hurts.

Don’t go off-roading, or limit it to just the bare minimum to get away from the main road. Slow down and watch for slush pockets on the roads. I’d bring a spud after what I saw yesterday on Garrison Sports road on Three Mile Flat. It was a slush puddle as deep, long, and wide as a bathtub. I called them and asked them to close it down before someone turns their Chevy into a submarine.
