Ice Trekkers for the win. Looks like they are identical to
    Yaktrax Diamond Grip.

Yaktrax diamonds worked great last weekend, only used them once so far but beats the heck out of my 10yr old el-cheepo cleats that only have small cleats for the front of your foot. We had rain and snow mix that was on the lake giving it a texture but still very impressed with their traction!!

Yaktrak diamond vote here. Grip pretty well, not too aggressive on other surfaces. Also comfortable

I like and have been using the Micro Spikes but have been looking at trying the Korker ice cleats sometime to see if there is a big difference between the two brands.

I have ben using the Korkers now for a couple years…I have had both hips replaced and my left knee replaced as well… the cleats they come with do not do well for getting up and down from the glare ice… I wrote them a letter asking if they would be interested in adding a couple more cleats to their soles.. on the tip of the toe and spread out the ones in the middle to get more grip on the outside of the boot…. I’m guessing just because one guy asked…it will not get that much attention…. Love the boot.. i’m still using the MicroSpikes…

Yaktrax and Ice Trekkers are basically the same, yaktrax is the sporting goods side of the parent company implus, while Ice Trekkers is the industrial side.

How are the Microspikes for standing on all day? My legs get sore with my current ones.

If I spend a whole day in mine on bare ice, my back hurts for a week. Normally wear them to my spot, take them off, and put them back on for the walk back. I think this is also partially the fault of my boots. Switching those up this season as well, Hopefully that plays into it.

Add an inch of snow and they are great!

I think it depends on what you want. I use the yak tracks – they keep you from slipping like you have nothing and they wont damage your car/other vehicle or floor, but they won’t hold in place like a spike. The springs can also freeze into the ice if you are in a shelter with heat – but I haven’t had it so bad that they pull off the boot.
