Looking at a used 2011 Ice Castle fishhouse to possibly buy. Does anyone know what years they were having issues with there axles? I’ve read before that they had issues some years. Any information would be appreciated.

I’m pretty sure it was 2009 and older I am 100% sure a 2011 is good to go and that’s out of the owner of ice castles mouth.

You should be fine with that year. Make sure to check and grease the axle shafts every year and you will not have problems. I just bought a new one. Drilled and tapped 2 extra grease zerks for each axle the 2nd weekend I had it

I don’t think the zerts do much if anything. Take them apart every couple years, it’s a great time to replace cables too. Regular cable cost about $10-$12 to switch, it’s just as strong as stainless, and nothing is going to go bad in a couple years. Heck I’ve had the cheap stuff on for 8-9 years and it was still fine but for the price I wouldn’t do it again.
